Buenos Aires, March 31 (NA) – Electricity rates will increase by 2.4% for the area served by Edenor and 1.8% for the area served by Edesur, starting from Wednesday, April 1st. This was established through a series of resolutions published this Tuesday by the national government in the Official Bulletin and processed by the Argentine News Agency. In this way, the new tariff schedule for energy rates was formed after yesterday's increases for the gas service were announced. The increase in electricity bills is below inflation and responds to the new temporary price scheme established by the Secretariat of Energy. The impact is significant as the government fails to consolidate the downward path of inflation.
